After closing earlier this year due to damage from ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, Hurricane’s Grill & Bar Surfers Paradise has reopened with a stunning new look and enhanced menu designed to enjoy overlooking the beach opposite.

An iconic dining favourite on the Gold Coast since 2013, the 300-seater beachfront restaurant and bar’s interiors have been reimagined by award-winning interior designers, Luchetti Krelle, inspired by the relaxed elegance of the coast.

Key features include locally-crafted wooden finishes, hand-crafted tiles, a new private dining area for events of up to 40 people, and transformation of the existing wraparound windows with ocean views to be completely opened out bringing the outdoors in, giving the venue an alfresco dining feel.

To complement the renovated interiors, the menu has also been refreshed and elevated, with a range of new items now available including a raw bar section featuring local seafood, Mediterranean leaning starters like fried focaccia and burrata, premium cuts of Australian steak including a 1.7kg tomahawk and 1kg T-bone with nothing below MS8, and a dry-aged steak program, to complement the signatures from the original menu like flame-grilled ribs, stacked burgers and fresh, colourful salads.

The beverage list has also been enhanced, with new dessert cocktails, boozy slushies, tropical cocktails and a dozen mocktails, plus a range of tap beers, local wines and spirits.

What remains unchanged is the warm and welcoming service style from the dedicated Hurricane’s Grill & Bar Surfers Paradise team, under Restaurant Manager, Kimberley Dutheil, who has been running the restaurant since 2022, and under James Broomhall, Event and Venue Operations Manager since 2020.

The newly-renovated restaurant is the place to be for locals and visitors to the Gold Coast alike, as a perfect date night option, family lunch or dinner out, and to celebrate special occasions and functions.

Hurricane’s Grill & Bar Surfers Paradise is a member of the Hurricane’s collection, and one of the five venues from respected Sydney restaurateur Tony Texeira (adding to Bondi Beach, Cronulla Beach, Narellan and Top Ryde locations).
