Work with some of Australia’s best restaurants, bars and luxury hotels in this public relations & social media role for storytellers at award-winning boutique marketing agency, Seven Storeys, based in Sydney.
Are you a passionate, collaborative communications person with a knack for crafting compelling narratives and engaging content?
Flourish in our creative, small-but-mighty agency, working directly with the leadership team and alongside fellow comms and marketing creatives on a range of exciting, integrated campaigns.
You'll be responsible for managing client accounts, developing and executing PR strategies, nurturing media and influencer relationships, crafting compelling written materials and social media content, and coordinating (and participating in) fun dining, drinking and travel experiences.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and execute integrated public relations and/or social media strategies aligned with client objectives
Develop and pitch newsworthy, engaging story angles and tailored content collaboration ideas to media and influencers
Craft compelling communications materials such as media releases, pitches, articles, bios, “about” one-pagers, and Q&As
Plan and execute media and influencer visits, famils, events and hosted experiences
Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, influencers, and key stakeholders
Acting as press office for clients, assessing and responding to reactive PR enquiries
Support on photoshoots and video shoots
Media monitoring and social media listening for mentions of clients, providing insightful analysis and data-driven reporting
Keep on top of trends, topics and best practices in media and social media to tap into or leverage, and identify and proactively pursue media opportunities and collaborations
Curate and create engaging, on-brand social media content, including text/still image posts, videos/reels, and stories
Manage and grow clients' social media storytelling and presence across various platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok).
Copywriting and content support for EDMs and blogs
Contribute to the development of creative campaign ideas and strategies

About you:
2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
A background in PR, comms or journalism
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for storytelling and rapport building
A strong understanding of the Australian media and social media landscapes
Proven ability to develop and execute successful PR campaigns, including pitching stories and securing coverage and influencer collaborations
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
A passion for food, drink, travel and hospitality and a collaborative spirit
An ability to think outside the square
Experience with graphic design using Canva or video editing; familiarity with SEO principles and content marketing; existing relationships with media contacts and influencers; and experience working with clients in hospitality and travel would be highly desirable.
