Holiday Inn & Suites Sunshine Coast launches
Families and value-driven travellers have a new place to stay in the holiday hotspot of Maroochydore, with the renovation and rebranding of former Holiday Inn Express to Holiday Inn & Suites Sunshine Coast, introducing a brand new restaurant and enhanced guest rooms, to complement its signature rooftop pool.
Building on the success of the property since its initial opening in 2022, the refreshed hotel delivers an enhanced coastal getaway experience with a raft of new family-focused features including Holiday Inn’s globally-popular Kids Stay & Eat Free program, a dedicated kids’ menu, and a relaxed guest lounge with TV and boardgames.
A highlight of the refresh is the brand-new Nineteen Restaurant & Bar, located off the light-filled lobby, with bi-fold windows opening out to Fairway Drive.
Named in honour of Horton Park golf course which once occupied the same site, Nineteen is a welcoming casual dining space with warm blonde timber interiors, serving a daily buffet breakfast alongside a delicious all-day menu of coastal favourites, like salt & pepper squid, steamed prawn dumplings, towering burgers, and signature sundaes, complemented by a selection of beer, wine and coastal-inspired cocktails.
A dedicated children's menu is also available, with kids aged 12 and under dining free when accompanied by an adult.
Following a refresh, the hotel’s 181 guest rooms and suites feature a beach-inspired palette with duck egg blue bedheads, a white and ocean blue-dipped accent curtain, and coastal artworks.
Designed for families or extended stays, the 41 one-bedroom suites provide a substantial upgrade in space, offering a kitchenette and separate living area with a sofa bed, with select suites also including a private balcony.
Perched atop the hotel on level 8, the rooftop pool deck remains a standout feature of the hotel, with heated pool, open-air lounging and a poolside bar open from spring, with views over Maroochydore's skyline making it a great spot for a sundowner.
Additional facilities include a fitness centre, self-service laundry, 24-hour reception, and two naturally-lit meeting rooms catering for events of up to 60 guests, while the Rooftop is also available for functions of up to 70 people.
