Opened in 2021, Next Hotel Melbourne is an elegant city sanctuary offering understated sophistication. Taking design cues from the site’s former life as a horse bazaar, the interiors blend refined finishes with contemporary comfort. Guests can cue the tunes through their in-room Bose speaker, enjoy Who Is Elijah bathroom amenities and a Dyson hairdryer in every room, unwind with a barrel-aged cocktail at sultry La Madonna Bar, and sink into a Dreamweave Bed dressed in luxury linen for the night.
Located on level three, La Madonna recently relaunched with Italian-born, French-trained Executive Chef Jacopo Degli Esposti at the helm, bringing his Michelin Star experience from Restaurant Guy Savoy and Atelier de Joël Robuchon Étoile to Melbourne.
Degli Esposti’s menu fuses Italian soul with French finesse, showcasing locally sourced produce through refined technique and creativity. Menu highlights include elegant Spaghetti au Caviar with Anna Dutch baerii caviar, lemon and French butter; and Tuna, Basil, Caviar, each reflecting the restaurant’s commitment to precision and quality produce.
The La Madonna dining room strikes a balance of elegance and warmth, with dramatic stone walls, curved timber finishes, cosy circular banquettes, and a cascading five-metre gold mesh chandelier that sets the scene for a truly memorable evening.
