Job alert: Digital Marketing Executive

Work with some of Australia’s best restaurants, bars, pubs and luxury hotels in this marketing executive role at award-winning boutique marketing agency, Seven Storeys, based in Sydney.

Are you a passionate, collaborative digital marketer with a knack for crafting compelling narratives and engaging content, particularly on social media? 

Flourish in our small-but-mighty agency, working alongside fellow marketing and communications creatives on a range of exciting, integrated campaigns, for clients in the hospitality, hotel, tourism and travel industries.

You'll be responsible for idea development, executing marketing strategies and campaigns, supporting client accounts, managing digital owned channels for clients including websites and social media channels (primarily Instagram), creating and scheduling compelling fit-for-purpose social media content, and coordinating (and participating in) fun dining, drinking and travel experiences.

This is a full-time position, however we will happily consider part-time applicants for the right fit.

Key responsibilities:

  • Feed into and manage marketing campaign and content calendars, identifying trends, key dates, topics and events to tap into

  • Create copy and assets for campaigns, working with in-house and external graphic designs, content creators and photographers

  • Plan, create, curate and schedule social media content (posts, stories and reels) across a number of accounts, including filming, editing, and scheduling of video (primarily for Instagram but also TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn)

  • Source user generated content and reshare on social media channels to maximise engagement and traffic growth

  • Connect with online community by responding to comments and direct messages, and proactively engaging with like accounts to drive conversation, engagement and increased awareness

  • Create and manage email marketing campaigns including regular EDMs and automations (via MailChimp, Seven Rooms, Talkbox)

  • Manage, optimise and update websites regularly, including creating blogs, What’s On pages, and menu updates (via Squarespace, Wordpress, Elementor)

  • Create, manage and monitor paid social media campaigns and boosted posts

  • Conduct daily media and social media listening for mentions of clients, providing insightful analysis and data-driven reporting

  • Keep on top of trends, topics and best practices in marketing to tap into or leverage and identify and proactively pursue influencer opportunities and collaborations

  • Input into strategic planning, product development, partnerships and influencer engagement opportunities for clients, and new business opportunities for the agency

About you:

  • 1–3 years’ experience in a similar PR, communications, or journalism-focused role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for storytelling and rapport building

  • An understanding of the Australian media and social media landscapes

  • A genuine passion for social media, digital marketing and storytelling 

  • Proven ability and confidence to pitch stories and secure coverage and influencer collaborations

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Confidence using - or quick to learn - tools like Meta Business Manager, TikTok Business Manager, WordPress, Canva, social media scheduling

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

  • A passion for food, drink, travel and hospitality and a collaborative spirit

  • An ability to think outside the square
